I wanted a second HD system in my home for the master bedroom.
I chose Klipsch’s affordable CS500 All-In-One Audio/DVD Unit paired with Panasonic’s G15 Plasma TV and I have no regrets. The system delivers excellent audio & video. Plenty of midrange/woofer sound offered at reasonable cost and can be setup without over-crowding a bedroom with 5 or more speakers and without needing higher cost separate A/V, DVD units stacked on a rack.
Another 2.1 option to consider is Klipsch’s CS700 system for larger bedroom area or studio apartment.
I would not recommend a 2.1 system for a larger Family room or multiple room area.

I am a bit of an audiophile, so I am not easily impressed by many systems I have sen and demoed to date. I purchased this system to set up in my living room, and am pleased with it. The sound is pretty good, and the bass is decent. It has a lot of features for less than a more expensive system. I was able to get this on sale from 6 Ave Electronics for 7 (in store). I appreciate the FM tuner and the iPod dock!

I am using the unit as an HDMI upscaler, and it does a pretty good job of it. When an HD signal is being fed to it, the system automatically goes into bypass mode, which means that the HD signal carries surround sound in it, and it knows what needs to be done already, so it disregards your settings. This is a plus…

It is worth taking the few minutes to set up the speakers properly. You should enter the distances for each speaker as per the instructions, and also adjust the volumes on each one to your liking. I personally like more of a surround sound and less coming from the center speaker.

My only qualm about this unit to date is that it doesn’t have any type of audio out, so that I can feed the signal to another amplifier and add speakers throughout the rest of the house.

Overall, I am pleased with it. Its not a DJ setup that will push mind blowing bass and highs, but it does a great job of putting out a clean, well rounded sound. Audiophiles may not be fully satisfied, but the average person will love it!

As I write this review I am immersed in the heat of battle. As I write this review, bullets are flying past my head. As I write this review I run beneath a harrier in hopes that I am not seen. The sounds that my newly installed Coby CSP96 are emitting are beautiful. No longer do I need UAV – for I have my Coby CSP96. The sounds are dedicated nicely. A battle has just ignitied to my rear right.. I turn.. I run.. and I make a kill.. without UAV.

The crakel of fire is as real as a July night under the stars with some marshmallows and the company of good friends. The base is steady and deep. Explosions cause you a slight jump.. and then bring a smile to your face. You realize “I have experienced this before”.. but where.. then it comes to you.. it was your last visit to the Theater, the opening week of
Iron Man. Boom! Boom! Talk about a lot of BANG for your buck.

When we installed this unit we understood that we would have to purchase extra speaker wire. 22 gauge at our local RadioHut was sufficient, at 100ft for . The unit was completely installed in a little over 1 hr, thats including mounting, and hiding the wires. There was no guess work with the audio. Find the audio out on you TV – red, white – send it to the audio inputs on the sub. Wala.. it is done!

We purchased this directly through AMAZON, we ordered after 7pm on the 2nd, it was in our home at 3pm the 4th. Never in my life have I ever had a product arrive so quickly, and thats with Free Standard Shipping. The packaging was perfect. The unit was boxed in orignal boxing, then placed in another box to insure protection from both the elements and handling, it arrived via UPS.

This is a value at , a sophisticated surround if you will, with 5.1 sound, including a base that is deep amd smooth. It is not one to shake the neighbors out of thier house, but rather a surround that blankets you in true volumns and clean noise.

There is going to be one more purchase made of this unit in the future and that will be for our game room. For now, I will set in my living, surrounded by crisp, solid, sound, that of which my walls have nevered experienced. So I am a huge fan of Kenwood car audio head units, I have had them in just about every one of my automobiles. However I have not yet had a touch screen double din TV. I have had a flip out TV in my last car though which I was extremely happy with. I have just purchased a new Ford F-150 and it has an in dash six disk CD changer (double din) so I am looking for a double din TV to replace it with. Seeing that I have always had a Kenwood radio I figured I shouldn’t break the trend and put one in my new truck. Out of the entire double din TV’s I have looked at I seem to like how this particular TV looks the best. However we all know that looks aren’t everything when it comes to car audio.
A few important questions I have; what is the screen resolution like? I know it says in the radio specs but I would like to have a personal opinion as well. Also how many AV inputs/outputs are there? I am planning to run a few more TV’s in my truck (a flip down, and head rests) so I would like to make sure there are enough inputs/outputs to go to all of them. I would rather not split the video signal if I don’t have to because I don’t want to lose picture quality. Also I have herd that Alpine has had a problem with the motor in the TV when you try and eject a CD when it flips down. Has anyone heard of this being a problem with this specific Kenwood radio? Last but not least the touch screen feature, does it work well? Or do you have to press hard to get it to work? I don’t want to mess up the screen by pressing it to hard constantly so I think this is important aspect to look at.
I plan on installing this system myself. Does anyone have any pointers? Or are there any special tools I will need? I think I have everything but I hate to have to run to the store when I have my whole dashboard pulled apart, even though I am sure everyone has had to do it once or twice before its still a pain in the butt.
I look forward to getting some good advice!

I was looking for a projector for our basement and for outdoor summer movies, but didn’t want the hassle of having to set up a projector AND DVD player/laptop AND receiver AND speakers… If, like me, ease of set up is your top priority, then you could do far worse than purchase the DV11. Plug it in, pop in a DVD and with minimal adjustments you have an incredibly bright and sharp picture in no time at all.

The picture projects upwards at quite a steep angle, so the projector needs to be low on the ground. (You can adjust this angle somewhat in the menu options if necessary.) The front and back of the projector can be adjusted separately for balance and the level and then the zoom option and manual lens control can ensure you fill your screen. There is also a keystone feature to perfect your image, creating the proper rectangular shape.

The projector obviously works best in darkness, but performs adequately in ambient light. The speakers are fine for indoors but I have added computer speakers to get a better stereo effect and for a little extra volume when outside.

The picture is bright, sharp and is easy to adjust to your preferences in the menu options (from ‘warm’ to ‘cool’ images, contrast, brightness and individually setting the red, green and blue tones if you’d like). The THX Optimiser in the DVD menu of any ‘Star Wars’/ ‘Indiana Jones’ or many Pixar films are useful for this. I personally haven’t noticed any ‘rainbow’ effect that some find on a DLP projector.

One downside is that the remote isn’t backlit, and often I have hit the wrong button by mistake. Overall, this is one of the best gifts I have received. It’s going to keep me (and the family. But mostly me) happy for quite some time.
